March Wanderings

Flowers in the parking lot
They were a gift that I forgot

A newfound kinship left to rot

Lost with nowhere to belong
It’s cruel that a stare could feel like home

That’s the joke of mortality

Some moments are eternal
But most are just passing by

Alone in the rain so I can’t make sense
Is it tears on my chest that tightens my breath
Or the thought of losing you?

If the sun should never shine again
I hope this rain will hit your head
And remind you
I’ll still bloom
