speechlessly unmoored 
i cling to thee eternally
the slashing of wrists
a painter’s first kiss
is it canvas or skin
that bleeds permanence?

sinking and screaming
my misery untethered
i will myself to the surface
and never recover
for what is hell but a lovelorn entropy?
and what is love but a hellbound entity?

salted kisses and burnt kneecaps
the sand stings—but you like that
you like being everywhere 
you’re not supposed to be
you like being all over me

burning trash out on the beach—
shit, someone already said that—
you didn’t realize you were burning me
sitting in your seditious gaze
twisting skin and abandoning me
i was broken and fluid and felt for a moment:
i’m speechlessly unmoored
