Twenty-one

Felt extremely cracked out from no sleep
Feeling slightly terrible
As we speak
It’s overcast gray
As clouds dance and fade
And I miss the sweeter moments
Of cool sun rays
Penetrating the ambiance
The mystic malevolence
Of people gone astray
Caught in the darkness
Unable to escape
”I wonder if it will rain”
I’ve heard the people say
But rain is in the mind

for nothing goes away

Rain is in the mind

the billowing clouds quite okay

To exist another day
No condensation here
To whisk away dismay
And reform the okay

For the “cracked out” you from no sleep
Are billowing clouds on their way
And whatever they may do

The sun still has her day
